Hotel Lobby Flood

10/30/2017 (Permalink)

When disaster strikes a business or commercial property SERVPRO of Newport & Bristol Counties has scored high ranks with our clients, we understand the importance of ensuring a business or commercial is in operation as soon as possible. In many cases we are able to isolate the area where the disaster has struck and the business can remain in operation. Recently we were called to a disaster at a hotel where water from persistent rains flooded the lobby. Upon arrival our first goal was to clean and restore as much of the lobby as possible. We knew that by doing so we could allow the hotel to operate and service their customers as we continued to mitigate and dry the public areas of the business. Our team built temporary barriers to block the view of the equipment and the crew as the mitigation work was underway, 24/7 until the lobby was 100% recovered.

Serving Newport, RI

Some of the most rewarding work we do is directly in our community. When we are called to a disaster in our hometown of Newport, RI we know that our every-step is on display to individuals we may end up seeing around the community many times over afterward and we must step-up our performance. A few years ago we had been called to a summer home which had flooded after a winter storm. We were on the scene within the hour and began the process of mitigating and repairing the home. Little did we know the owner of the home was also a local business owner and his boatyard also suffered damage after the storm. Thanks to our crew and their professional approach in the beach home we were called into work on and mitigate the water damaged suffered in the warehouse and office building of the yard.

Hospitality Facilities

8/7/2017 (Permalink)

SERVPRO of Newport & Bristol Counties' team of professional restoration technicians have managed and mitigated disasters in hospitality facilities and multi-floor buildings. When disaster strikes at a hospitality facility, the help of a specialized team is critical in assuring that normal operations resume as quickly and safely as possible. Whether the cause is a coat hanger on a sprinkler head or a natural disaster, we work to efficiently isolate the damaged area so that basic functions can continue normally, and guests can enjoy your services with minimal impact.

In an emergency situation, we are fast to respond and to spring into action. We realize that every moment wasted increases the risk of damage to your property exponentially and in turn becomes a loss for your hospitality facility. Upon arrival, our experienced production managers will quickly assess the situation and assign crew members to the most critical areas to begin mitigation. If needed we will provide contractors to immediately begin the process of repairing the damage.

Our professionals are trained to work with your management and maintenance teams to prioritize spaces and make sure that all areas are restored to your complete satisfaction.

Is your Commercial Building Prepared?

12/22/2016 (Permalink)

Do you oversee or manage a Commercial Facility?

Do you know where every single shut off valve is in that facility?

What do you do if you have water running in your lobby?

Who would you call to help minimize the damage or stop completely?

These are important questions you have to ask yourself if you own or manage a commercial property. Water and Fire losses can cause significant downtime for you business if not addressed in a proper time manner.

At SERVPRO of Newport and Bristol Counties, we have created a free resource called an ERP. This is a tool that can be hosted on your tablet and mobile phone that stores pictures of your shut offs and emergency contact information. This was a resource we partnered with the American Red Cross to create.

If you have any questions or to schedule an appointment for an ERP, contact our offices at anytime.
